Hello All
Finally got my friend to sell me his 79 Colt after 3 years of begging!!
My very first car was a 1977 back in 1982 when I was stationed in Fort Campbell,Ky. (pic) it brings back memories.
Its all original 4g32 with an auto tranny with the exception of the weld wheels. My plans is to install a 4g63t and prep it for street/strip action.
I be lurking around doing lots of reading as am new to the DSM world.

Swapping a 4G63 into your friend's old original Colt aught to piss him off.

But hey, it's yours now. Looks like a great car to start with. You won't be fighting rust issues like most owners.

Hello Gang,
Thanks for the compliments, I really love old schoolers, I also got a 76 RX-4 and a RX-808 that I was planning to build for strip/strip but now the Colt is a better candidate.
My friend I got the car from is cool with the swap , he had 3 of them and had to get rid of two because no storage.
The car is my daily driver until I get all ready for the swap. I got lots of learning to do.
thanks all,
Andres

I saw an ol RX4 sittin behind an old rickety house about 12 miles from me..
White and looked like it still ran. (no goats on top or grass 2' high around it)
Will inquire about it next week. It's on the way to a 'yard' out in the sticks.. (you can hear the start of dualin banjos in the distance and you NEVER want to smell 'better' than the guy 'workin' the counter)
