Well i'd like to start out with a thank you. This site is awesome and there is so much useful information. I actually found the site from google when searching a t5 bellhousing for a 4g63.
Well my name is Pete, i'm 29 and from upstate ny. I currently daily drive a 91 TSI. I've been around the dsm scene for about 10 years now. I've had a love for mustangs since they redesigned the fox for 87. I sold my last mustang just this past summer (88 GT) and was looking around for a notchback. Somehow I came across "toomuchNOS"s colt on racingjunk and was seriously thinking about buying it instead of a notch. Well that's where my mind got the best of me. In the garage I have 3 4g63 shortblocks, 2 4g64 shortblocks, 2 4g63 dohc heads, and 1 4g64 sohc head. Staring at them makes my mind wander.
I am really curious if anyone has ever heard of anyone building a 4g powered mustang. This is not something i'm just toying with. I find really nice rollers everyday for cheap with full suspension, rear end and only missing motor and tranny.
I've been searching the forum and I keep hearing people talk about certain tranny's they use by tranny codes however, I am not familiar with them. I know there are bellhousings to bolt a powerglide to a 4g and i know they make transmission crossmembers for the fox's to use powerglide's but I really want to keep it 5spd.
If anyone has information or links to someone who might have tackled this project already please let me know. Also if you can recommend a 5spd. tranny to use I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much.

Well i've spent alot of time reading thru your t-56 bellhousing thread and i'm thinking thats going to be my best bet. It will deffinately hold the power that i'm going to throw at it and I know there has been a ton of ls1's in fox bodies so It should go in without a problem.
Do you have an approximate date as to when the bellhousing would be done and ready for purchase as well as a close estimate to the cost?
Well you've made up my mind. After the holiday's I am going to be in search for a nice rolling notch. I can't thank you enough for your input. I'm looking forward to this and I am sure you guys probably just got taken off of my wife's christmas list. Lol.
