W57 Tranny?

I just got the July issue of Super Street. There's a guy in New Zeland running a 13b rotary putting down 470hp and pulled a 11.6 1/4 mile. Says he's running a Toyota W57 tranny. Is this about the same as the Toyota W58? If so, maybe it's a better tranny than I thought before. If I have fitting issues, I may just have to switch my tranny out for a W58 is it's significantly smaller. Won't know til I try to fit my Billhousing and make some motor and tranny mounts. (hopefully soon)
