I got a 77porsche924 a 3.8(yes 3.8)86fiero and a 4g61 93 elantra. And I cant drift any of them. the porshe's antique rear suspension (bug type) doesn't have any adjustability and the fiero is as far from a drifter as it gets + i tore it apart and its in peices now and that the way it will sit untill I fit a jap fwd motor in the back, Chevys suck. Anyway you guys are crazy, yall do the craziest stuff with these cars. I like the mitsu 61 I got and was thinking of an awd nitrous 89-92 colt but that wouldn't drift either. I thought i'd be the first to pimp a starion but after some research i now know i wouldn't be. You guys got this starion thing on lock down(iv'e been reading the tech stuff).
So heres my questions. 1) how much does a starion weigh?? w/ and w/out interior. 2) How much hp does a stock starion have w/ and w/out turbo. 3) I read in wikipedia it came with a 4g63 in japan is this a easy swap and what years/models would the direct install motor come from 4) I read it has "semi" trailing arms/struts in the rear, is this a single A arm strut rear with a trailing arm (per side) for added strength or somthing like a trailing arm strut which is whack as far as im concerned. and lastly could yall post some links to heavily modded exteriors of the car, like custom kits and stuff, cuz not to be rude but this car is fugly. I cant decide if its so ugly its beautiful or if its just so fugly id have to live with it. I think I would chop the roof off, weld the doors shut and mold a different car's kit to it. Oh and drift the piss out of it
Yeah, get a 240SX and save your self a world of hurt if you want to drift.
Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
how about a 4.0 quad cam aluminum block arora motor, but how bout any jdm motor and trans, I kinda like being able to afford to build cars and drive them(gas prices), YO. I wrote all that at like 3 in the morning YO. So back off my slang YO. anyways then if it weighs so much (and it does look like some futuristic car on robocop) then why did the write up on the drift car says it just screams drift me? and single a arm isn't wack (a pos compared to double a arm) its trailing arm rwds like whats on the rear of some fwd cars, like a 924-944, do you follow. But still I would like to try to do up a starion for drifting seeing on how available 4g6x's are. Hell I found a 4g63 rebuilt n/a japspec race engine for 700bucks with 180hp. thank for all the help
I've seen one 4G63 swapped Fiero. Check DSMTuners.com. I'll see if I can find the link or some pics of it. It doesn't seem to be too complex. but there will be alot of fab work involved as is the case with most of our cars.
