conquest swap

I'm starting the swap on a 86 conquest so i can put the 4g63 in it i was just wondering what I'm get my self in to if there's anything i should keep an eye out for anything like that thanks for the help

What do you have to work with? Which block have you decided to go with. That should determine your transmission options. Most of the nitty-gritty stuff has been worked through on here so you shouldn't have to waste too much time thinking about how to do your water lines and such.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

What transmission do you plan on using with that Narrowblock?

depends on what you want to do with it. if you want to drag race i would reccomend the th-350 route. yes its heavey but its bulletproof and proven many years ago. if it s a street/autocross car i would go with the 5 speed option (which theres many of depending on how deep your pockets are). welcome to the board.

i woll say my th-350 is as streetable as you can gt with a 4000 stall convertor. no nasty clutches to hold the power or anything.
