7 bolt wideblock

i found a complete 7 bolt wideblock in my are. im under the assumtpion the reason why no one uses this is lack of parts?

There are plenty of parts available, But they have a cast crankshaft and are not sutibla for BIG horsepower. If you are just going to the moderate power range they are fine.

so that is the only downfall? couldnt i just put a dif crank in? im rebuilding the damn thing anyways

What kind of power are you looking for? More than 500?

Between 6 and 7 bolt' yes the main bearing size on the crank as well as the rods. Keep in mind they use these cranks as an upgrade in Evos and push up in the 700 range. I have heard of them coming apart after that.
If you are looking in that range then you are spending pretty big anyways so just chase down an early one to get the forged bits.

ok so its probably a better decision to just hold out and wait for a 6 bolt. just got excited, i found a complete 7 bolt for 100 bucks.
