4g into v6 4x4 max

ive searched & gone thru the 1st 10pages of the tech forum....

looking for info on swapping 4g63/64 into a v6 4x4 max.
seems like the tranny bellhousing bolt pattern wont accept a 4g from wat ive read but
cant find a definite answer...

like to know wt 4x4 gearbox will work if any or if im stuck w using an adapter or
a toyota unit.

any input/thots???

so I had a thought.

take a FWD gearbox w a spooled diff turned longitudinal to replace the 4x4 tranny/transfer case. run each axel flange to the front & rear diffs.

only problem is then id loose the hi & low range 4x4.

its a thought tho
