Thought this was interesting. The Montero Sport is apparently a wide block and has a block mounted thermostat housing.

I've been looking into this as well. It's a wideblock that shares the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the older blocks.
I'm at the point I'm trying to figure out which g63t harness do I use with it. Generation 1 turbo harness or a generation 2 turbo harness (Evo).

I would actually suggest going with either a 3g harness or an evo 8 harness (if I remember correctly, the difference is only the boost controller wire on the evo harness). That way you could use the 3g ecu (they're cheap) and just flash the evo rom onto it. There's plenty of info about it on club3g with plenty of people swapping evo heads on the 4g64 3g eclipses.
