Help sohc multi

Hi i have a starion and it is in need for a rebuild i have been looking at changing to eci multi but keep it sohc turbo i need some help buy anyone that has done this before. Do i need to run a aftermarket ecu? What have you done about water outlet at the back of the manifold? What wiring do i need to change? Do i keep the distributor? As you can see i need help thanks in advance
