4G63 Swap 1st Gen Rx7 Questions

I have the motor harness and ECU from a 1993 Talon TSi I parted out. Now I want to get some power out of this engine and for fuel management my question is: Standalone or DSM Link? is it easy enough to wire in the stock harness into the RX7 so that DSM Link would be best or would goin standalone with a brand new harness be easier? I have never wired something like this before so any tips would be greatly appreciated I ve read some threads on here that have helped a ton.
