Is the modulator absolutely necessary for braking?
I do not have one under the hood.
Can I just cap off the line on the brake cylinder where it would go to the modulator and not have rear ABS.
the modular is part of the ABS brake system, if its gone and the brakes work, somebody has bypassed it
unloading the ABS from the system will not interfere with the rest of the brake system
Im going to be leaving that part out then.
I dont even think the pulse generator is in the car either.
so i am going to napa and getting some bulk brake line to
connect the parts that are missing.
you will find that the one flair fitting at the master cylinder to the ABS modular will be different then the rest, be careful to reuse the flair nut that came with it, I think its a way to aviod deleteing the ABS or making sure there is no mix up in production
I have always just made my own bypass hardline. Looks factory when you do it this way.
Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
Any clarification on sizes for each fitting?
In case for future reference someone else does the same thing and they
do a search and find this information.
Perhaps a pictorial with arrows pointing to where for those who cant picture it in their minds.
I'll be making one soon so I'll be sure to take a photo and document it all on here in the coming weeks.
I'll check that 88 harness out too. I'm headed up there tonight for some engine bay work and have made myself a note.
