The Plan..
What I'm going to do is create an adapter plate to allow a 4G63 from a Talon to mount to a B2600 bell housing then eventually a RX-7 Turbo Transmission.
I know the clutch sizes differ from the wideblock flywheel to the narrow block. But is that the only difference? will the starter which will still be in the wideblock position still enguage the flywheel?

from what I understand so far is that I will need a flywheel from a 4G63 wideblock? which are nearly impossible to find. I would really like to use a rx7 clutch which fits the wideblock flywheel and not have to get a custom one made.

unless the 4G64 flywheel is an option? which would be probably easier to find.

shed some light on this for me someone?

How is the transmission input shaft going to reach the clutch if you are going to wedge an adapter plate between the bellhousing and engine block?

that was another problem I posted about on another forum..
my guess is you would have to put a spacer between the flywheel and crank.

DO NOT DO IT WITH THE B2600 BELLHOUSING! I didnt see that when I read this the first time.

Sure.. I GUESS you could try to do it with an adapter plate, so you might as well adapt to the RX7 bellhousing right off the bat. Cut out all the bullshit that it takes to find the rare B2600 bellhousing since you're already making an adapter to begin with. Why make an adapter plate to an adapter bellhousing.. and while you're at it making all these adapter plates, why not adapt something REALLY strong. Plus adapting narrow (12.25") to wideblock (13.15") is very difficult. The lower bolt holes are only 1/2" differnet on each side which means any bolt heads and possibly the bolts themselves would overlap and that's just unworkable (maybe not impossible, but its alot of trouble).

The RX7 transmission is a cool option only because it DOESNT require an adapter plate.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
