Mighty Max pump and Jay Racing outlet interferance.

Post by JDOliver »

I decided to go the the Mighty Max pump on my 4g63 using the Jay Racing front outlet that reuses the rear thermostat. The original 4g63 pulley will not fit, other than it's also not lined up correctly either.

Who's worked this out ? Is there another know pulley to use ? Thanks.

The 4g63 pulley fit fine on my truck waterpump, well all three actually. But you're right it doesn't line up, so I took it to someone with a press and had them press the pulley back on itself so it would line up.

The talon/eclipse 4g63 pulley will interfere with the front outlet when using a straight pipe. It the pulley on your truck smaller ?

I pulled the hub off after digging through some old threads and finding this is not exactly a cleanly solved problem. I want to keep the Jays front outlet and mighty max pump for plumbing reasons. I'll order an electric drive and pulley from jegs in a couple of weeks when I get time for it again and let y'all know what happens.
