noob to zero with swap question...

Ok so after lurking for a few months I have decided I have to join yet another forum... So the question at hand!
I have read a 4G wide block will bolt to my stock quest trany... as the same wide block will bolt to an rx7 trany... so this would mean both of these tranys have a similar enough bolt pattern correct? And that would mean a rotary will bolt to my stock quest trany? So would this be the 13b or the 12a? And it seems I need a b2600 bell housing?

This may be a change of direction again for me btw... from a stock rebuild of the g54b to a wide block dohc to a rotary...

No, because the bellhousing is not removable on the stock quest tranny. The bellhousing is what makes the 4g54 work with the RX7 transmission.

I've looked at the rotary for several projects, they are expensive to rebuild and gutless down low. You should look for something more substantial with a full interior conquest. [/quote]
