Post by marshal1979 »

I am thinking of using DSM Link ($500)

any opinions?
cost and user friendliness are my main concerns...

Easiest software Ive ever used. Made 656whp/527ftlbs on a factory 6 bolt shortblock using link. Cars have made over 1000whp with it. The forums are probably the best forums out there and Tom/Dave are awesome when it comes to customer support.

I prefer Speed density as well. This is what I will be using on my rwd project.

Great tuning platform and very user friendly. The forums are a very nice addition. You can install dsmlink and have the thing running decent within minutes.

How has your DSM link treated you? Are you up and running yet?

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

Not up and running yet :(

I actually just got the block back from the engine builder as there was a bearing problem. Then we had a bolt for the mains snap... but it should start going together next week, I have a feeling it will be a while with many more issues before it is up and running...
