Hi I'm new here, I'm currently working on a project, ive started with a Mitsubishi colt and I've installed megasquirt as a piggy back system controlling spark and fuel. my intention is to convert it to rwd so i want to change the orientation of the engine so i don't have to run a awd box and waste power also i want to do something different I've looked through your site and its proved very useful, but i came across a mention of using coil sticks from a GSXR to get a cop set up.
i looked but i cant find any mention of which model of the bike to get the sticks off be it 600, 750, 1000 so i was wondering which sticks give the best results and which are people using ?
thanks for a great site and any help it the future
Jake

Re: GSXR coil sticks ?
What do you have to do to get the Megasquirt to use the GSXR coils? I had the GSXR Denso coils in my racecar and loved the clean setup. I was using an Autronic CDI box for spark. If there is a way to use a Megasquirt without a 2nd ignition box, I'd love to sell this Autronic one.jakeymears wrote:Hi I'm new here, I'm currently working on a project, ive started with a Mitsubishi colt and I've installed megasquirt as a piggy back system controlling spark and fuel. my intention is to convert it to rwd so i want to change the orientation of the engine so i don't have to run a awd box and waste power also i want to do something different I've looked through your site and its proved very useful, but i came across a mention of using coil sticks from a GSXR to get a cop set up.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
