hello everyone
this is what i am planning for a local racing club
first the rules
advertised displacement will get you in the correct class
normally aspirated
everything else is open
my project eclipse body-miata front and rear subframes
engine what i call a g34, or a g63 over a g64
i have read many a posts and have not really found much on the n/a
what comp. they like, cams, and fuel delivery
what do you think guys any ideas or sugg
thanks

What is so confusing-this will be a road race car- and the only thing i did not mention was engine must be from the same manufacturer of body
It could be a fwd,rwd,mid-engine,rear-engine, like i said everinthg is open
the class where i would race is from a 2.0 to 2.5 lts.
i would like any sugg. you may have
thanks for your reply

Thanks for your reply, we have consider the same thing for another body that he is interested in doing We still have some questions about the reliability of the awd. if it works i am sure it would a very comp car, I have read the write up
on the awd but i think he eliminated the fwd, also the availability of gear ratios, is another concern.
Maybe a lot of guys dont understand that decent starions or conquest are getting harder to find, i beleive that we are being left with very few options if we want to swap into another brand fine but if we want to stay basic dsm, have to look more to the eclipse or the few talons as you mentioned.
And again, if you could give me some feedback on N/A, either of the 2 motors
thanks.
Very little info as far as comp. timing and induction that works best.
Again thanks and will keep you posted on results.

MAN, I wished you would've gotten with me on the quests.. I had to crush two of them and a good friend has a very nice 'virgin' 88 quest for under 3000..
And it's already been painted and runs nice..
He's an accountant and doesn't beat it. got it for his daughter and she didn't like it
Just under Memphis

Being male is a chance, Being a MAN is a choice..
Belated happy holidays to everyone
77 too bad on the quests you mentioned, maybe someone could have put them to good use, Iwould not be interested in the other car you mentioned,
remember this is going to be a track car not a street car at all
Investing that amount of money from the start does not add up, anyways thanks for the offer.
Now to what we have found, a1998 talon tsi, in excellent condition except for the engine which is lock up.
It is a shame to take it apart since everything works and all the interior is in good shape but we got it for a very good price. It seems the engine was worked on it has greddy components maybe their upgrade kit.
Probably we will not do the rwd conversion at this time since it may be too much work at this time and money is tight, we want to get the car running first, there will be a lot to do, and you know when projects get too long they are more difficult to complete.
I dont know if we will get down to the 1000lbs you mentioned, i dont believe is possible, remember we have to build roll cage and safety equipt.
All parts will be available jf anyone is interested.
