Thinking about buying a conquest
Hello, I am thinking about buying a 87 conquest that is being sold locally to do a 4g63 swap. I was planning to use the stock transmission and a wideblock from a d50/mighty max.I'm thinking i will use the crank shaft from the d50, and replace the pistons with a aftermarket set. Then obviously use the 4g63 head. I thought id use a intake from a evo (if this is possible).I also have a few questions that someone maybe able to help me with. How much horsepower can the stock transmission take? How difficult will this swap be, as far as having to fabricate my own parts? Your help is greatly appreciated, also feel free to set me straight as far as the build goes. Being this would be my first swap of this kind i'm not sure how everything fits into place.
Is your MM a 2.0 or 2.4 liter DOHC gen 1 heads are big port and Evos small port so you will need the IM to match and reverse the TB for RWD
my CAR HAS 326 WHP AND 588KN OR 430FP TORQUE THRU THE STOCK BOX FITTED WITH ONE OF PAULS HEAVY DUTY REINFORCEING PANS
The way you drive will have a lot to do with the boxes survival
If you give me more specific info I mau be able to help further
If the MM has a 2.6 liter (4g54) then you won't be able to fit a DOHC to it
