Is the existing motor an 8 valve??
The 4G63 come in wide block = rwd narrow block = fwd and 4wd
You can fit a wide block tranny to a NB useing a sandwich plate
IN THE 6 BOLT the blocks are the same BUT to fit a GEN 1 DOHC head on a GEN 1 SOHC 8 VALVE block you need to use the DOHC ally front cover + the oil pump for the belt pulleys to work.
The early 7 bolt SOHC 4g64 8 valve block will take a gen 1 DOHC head
I have both of these motors in my shed and have a DOHC 2323cc 4G63 stroker in my Starion
Wide block the top bellhousing bolt holes are 130 mm centres
Narrow block'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' 110 mm centres
Hope this helps
