need some motor mount guidance

Post by lusiphur134 »

hello all. i'm wondering if anyone can help me. i'm building a rwd kit car with a 4g63 and toyota w58 and am looking for mount mounts. the 4g came from a 90 talon and those ones are uneven height and kind of funky shaped. i read through the PZG front page that suggests the might max mounts but i can't find them under that part number anywhere.
so i figure i only need to have the mounts bolt to the engine and also be same height preferably with a flat sides on the frame mounting side. the bolt patern on the frame mounting side doesnt matter as i have to custom drill that no matter what i use.
so would any 4g based mounts work or should i aim to find any specfic year/vehicle mounts?

thanks for the help. also my weldor dude and i are trying to convert the 90 talon intake to rwd. if its of interest to people i'll post the pics for you guys to check out, well if we succed at least

Go with any year mighty max mounts... they are all the same and pretty much follow the criteria you have set fourth... but you will also need to get the "spacer blocks" that bolt to the block and accept the rubberized mount thats bolted to the frame.
93' Max, 4g64, 16v DOHC, 18G Turbo, Walbro 255L, 27" FMIC, 2.5" Exhaust, Aero Exhaust, AEM C2DI w/COP, 510cc Injectors, Running on Megasquirt 3-X.

Videos as soon as it's 100% up and running.
