Mighty Max Lowering

Post by MightyMike »

Anyone have any info on best place to pickup a set of drop spindles or lowering springs for a Mighty Max / D50?

I just got a set of Montero wheels on my Max, and want to find the best place to get a set of drop spindles or springs. Its about to hit the road and I want to get it a little lower. Its not really a "truck" anymore with a turbo motor.

web search, you'll find them. I think there is only really one source and many outlets for the same part. usually about $200. I dropped mine 2" about 5 years ago, drop spindles ( don't need to do springs) in front and blocks in the back.

AIM was the only place that make them, but the quality control was less than desired. Check E-bay or some of the starion sites too.

I have a 1-ton that I just cut the springs and did the yota spindle/rear swap so I can have my quest rims all round.

AIM www.airbagit.com is in fact the only ones that make our drop spindles. So even if you ebay, your buying an AIM product. I recently took a chance and worked with AIM. I talked with Yuri and purchased a kit to bag my truck. I've always dealt with suicidedoors.com in the past but with four kids, AIM's prices lured me in. As far as the springs, you can cut a coil or two out. I don't personally like going that route but many do it without too much troubles. But since I'm biased, I say bag the truck!
