Hi all
I`ve started this project almost two years ago

but here I want to post some pics of my 4g63 3gen longitude conversion with jdm fd3s transmission

I think pics will say for it self, but your questions are always welcome

left engine mounting

right mounting. only vertical (( lack of space
(will do some tension rod from upper strut mounting to engine head)

5cm rack spacers )))

steering column

finally the car is on the ground )))
engine and transmission mountings are completed and welded in

i was really impressed how easy wheel is turning without power steering.... it`s very strange for me
from side to side 3.3 cycles

Looks pretty good so far. That transmission looks like it's a mile long! It looks like you have lots of steering angle which is excellent for drifting. My only concern for you is the oil pan. Are you planning to run a dry sump system? It doesn't look like you've left enough room for the stock oil pan. Keep us updated. Looks like a fun and unique car to drift.

tranny only looks extra long, but it`s ot so long in real
shifter fits the right place and it will switch much more convenient than the stock on Evo

steering angle was almost the main headache that throw me to all that conversions

i`m planning to run in our local drift champ, so steering will be a good boost for my angle

it will be wet sump
i left enought space for custom oil pan
will fab it later

what process did you use to make the tie rods in FRONT of the axle centerline, instead of the rear?

did you just flip them side to side and make a mount for the steering rack? or did you source some front steer spindles that happened to bolt on?

front hubs are not modified, they are from pajero io/pinin/mini, all are 5 stud hubs and it fits evo 1-6 struts, ball joints are almost the same as on evo 1-3

the rack is from rwd mmc Delica (spacegear or something in europe), it has front mounted rack in stock

all mountings i`ve done by myself

it must be nice to have rwd mitsubishi's running around. we in the U.S. haven't had a decent rwd mitsu since the 80's galants were here.
