Here you go. There is info on using a 1G CAS on the 2G motor. Down at the bottom under Geek Info there is a signal readout of the CAS. It all works under the hall effect signal. Additionally, the 2G unit basically just sends a signal from the crank to the cam sensor to make sure they are in time. Together they still only do what the 1G sensor does in one unit.

I would guess you can put the CAS sensor anywhere you want on the motor as long as it always turns the correct direction at the correct speed. The cams should turn at half the speed of the crank. Correct?
