What vehicle would have the engine block i need

Post by Mazzhole »

After about a year i have decided to get back to my starion project car. Last year about this time i crashed my DD subie and had to put the dough i had saved for repairs.

I want to put a 4g6x into my starion and have the block bolt up. I had done some research but want to be sure i get source the right block.

What years models and engine do i need to have the block bolt up to my starion tranny???

if the engine bolts up the the tranny how do i mount the engine do i have to do some welding? if using moving the engine mounts then is there a way to get the drive shaft line up w/o modifying it???

You will need a wideblock engine to bolt up to the starion trans. You can find this as a 2.0 liter(g63b) in the 2.0l auto trans mighty max/d50. You can also use a 2.4l(g64b or 4g64) these will be in any 2.4l truck.

I used my block from my lancer turbo(4g63t)

If he's from the US, we don't have the SOHC 2.0 in Starions. We also didn't get the Lancer turbo here in the US.
