How much are you looking to spend? You can buy a built powerglide for a reasonable price.

give me a pm i have a powerglide that i just built to sell with following:1.76 gearset,7 frictions in high gear,kevlar band for low,5 frictions in rev,turboshaft,pump stator support machined and bushing installed for more stability,wide bush in high drum,pro tree trans-brake valvebody ,deep alum pan,universal selector linkage, I can also install a variable stall set up on this valvebody to give you approx 500 rpm more stall on what ever conv you use.I have been in the transmission field for 15 years and the last 5 building racing trans .I'm in CT......
