4G62 comes in either non turbo carburettor, non turbo EFI, or single SPI form in either Cordia, 1st and 2nd gen Delica, 5th gen Galant-Sigma, and 1st gen Chariot.

As far as I know, they are almost exactly the same as the 4G63 like for like, ie comparing 4G62 carb to 4G63 carb, apart from the 4G62 having the smaller bore of 80.6mm instead of the 85mm bore the 4G63 has. The 4G62 shares the same bore size as the 4G37 also.

I'm sure the head gasket for a 4G62 and 4G63 is the same, with the 85mm bore so perhaps that suggests the combustion chamber size on both heads are the same or pretty similar? I guess would would imagine the 4G63 combustion chamber would be a little bit better, and therefore would reduce the compression ratio when placed on a 4G62. Although most the SOHC heads all seem to be the same other than camshafts, so maybe there is no difference.
