WTB: 84-88 raider/montero lsd third member

I am looking to upgrade the rear in the mighty max to an lsd third member out of raider/montero. This would have to be out of a 4 cyl.

Now do these drop in? I saw on another forum that two chunks side by side and man the lsd one looked lots bigger..

Errol, the third members out of the 4 cyl raider/montero is supposed to bolt right in, but the gearing is quite a bit lower.

I am not sure about the 9 inch carrier working in the 8 inch housing. I mainly just wanted to make mine a lsd temporarily until I have the time to put a better rear end under it.

aaarrrrggg.. OK, so what year(S) and models does one need to be looking for?? Did they share between makers?

I've got 4.22's in this 1ton and drive mostly hwy to work (spd limit is 70).
I'd like to get a lsd/posi like 89colt but also would like 3.25 -- 3.42 gears.

It's not done yet but when it hits the road, i'd like a quieter ride.

I just stopped by a friends yard and he's got a Isuzu rodeo that's got discs.
It's a 97 with leafs. Wonder if that will work.

89 colt, where are ya located..?
