4g63 trans help
ok im doing a 4g63 swap on my conquest and either im over looking it or im just blind but i cant find any thing on a narrow block manual trans what manual trans an be used on a narrow block 4g63 and who makes the adapter plate for it thanks every one also what drive shaft would i use my quest as it is now is an auto im going to convert it

my motor came form a 1990 fwd talon if that helps+++ at all

All of the answers to your questions are in the threads posted below yours.
Bill Hincher is who is making these adapters for the w series and r-154 toyota trans. He is also working on the bellhousings for the t-56 trans and an adapter plate for the gm auto trans.
You will need to have a driveshaft made for your application if you use any of the above options. You could also use a manula trans out of a 2.0L mighy max/d50, but they have a cable clutch setup so you would have to adapt a hydro slave for this.

I'd say the R154 with Bill's bellhousing is a great option due to cost and strength. They're not as cheap as W series transmissions, but the few hundred extra dollars is worth it in my opinion.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
