i wired mine like this:

pin 30: +12V from battery

pin 85: body ground (relay ground and fuel pump ground)

pin 86: fuel pump wire from MPI relay

pin 87: wire going to the fuel pump

pins 85 and 86 comprise the coil or 'magnet' inside the relay that is energized once the MPI relay gets power (i.e., ignition key is switched to ON)

pins 30 and 87 comprise the switch that gets turned on by the magnet generated by energizing pins 85 and 86. once the switch is continuous, +12V flows from the battery to the pump

with the stock harness, i got around +10.5V to the pump

with the rewire, i got 13.5V to the pump

oops, by the way, do not forget to add a 20A fuse along the wire from the battery to pin 30

if you want to add a relay bypass in case your relay fails in the middle of the night, nowhere, you can add another pair of wires to pins 85 and 86.

but do not connect these two wires unless you really need to (i. e., if the relay fails)

this bypass is just like your stock harness without the relay

if you run a 4g63 ecu/ harness there should not be a problem on the fuel pump, i have to take a look at what pin i got mine to , but its not hard to figure out, The fuel pump check connect taps into the MPFI main relay, all i did is tap one of the 12 V + output from it , run a 12 ga wire to the back and have it turn a 30 A 12 V relay at the back close to the fuel pump and battery.any high amp relay would work you just have to put the coil side of it to a ground and the MPFI +12v out.
