yeah,I know maybe a wide block R 154 would be better then a wide block T 56 just from a money stand point

Why do you think the Import scene took off so fast? Also, for those prices, you might as well check out new units from other suppliers. I don't know who makes good transmissions, but Rockland and Tremec stand out.

Besides, who needs a T56 really? The R154 should take whatever you give it in a street car. If you want to go drag racing, Bill has you covered there too with a GM auto trans swap. You could also just start with a W series or R154 and move up to the T56 later on down the road.
