The Z32 stuff is great, but can be hard to find in junk yards and expensive new. The Toyota 4x4 caliper is a great unit that has the same bolt pattern as the strut. However, depending on the rotor and hub you use, it may need a bracket to fit. I have 11" Z31 rotors on 280ZX struts and I need to reduce the diameter of the rotor (maybe .125") to fit the caliper perfectly. I believe the 280ZX 4 lug rotors (about 10") are not offset correctly for the caliper.
I know you have 240Z stuff, and it's all basically the same. Only slight differences here and there on most of the parts. You should be able to use 280ZX calipers and rotors without any brackets or modifications. A lot of people use those parts on fast cars without issues. I believe the 280ZX stuff is a 2 piston caliper and a 10" rotor. For a car that will weigh under 2500lbs, they should work great. Then again, there's always custom stuff. Most Nissan brake parts need at least a 15" wheel for clearance. Now days most people run much larger wheels. But with classic car swaps, you need to remember that they were never designed to run 18" wheels. A lot of Datsun 510 guys run 13-18" wheels depending on their taste. But a 15" wheel should be a good compromise in every direction.

I just noticed that in your first post you stated it was an 89 240Z. Did you mean 240SX or did you mean an earlier year 240Z car? Either way, the Nissan Z32 stuff will fit the struts. And running 14" wheels will limit your brake/rotor selection, but if you have 240Z stuff, you can run 280ZX brakes and it should clear the 14" wheels. Then again, wheel selection is also a factor here, but in general it should work.
However, if you go with Z32 4 piston calipers or something like that, you will need larger wheels. The rotors themselves are 11". I say just get some junk yard parts and play with it. You never know what might happen. Hell, that's hot rodding!
