I think a toyota forum would be better suited for this. Here we are making 4g63 rwd swaps not reverse of that.

I'm sorry about the first post. I thought you wanted to put a ae86 engine in your mits. Now I understand what you want to achieve. Look in the project section. there is a link to the same project you are attempting. The guy used a gts w55 trans with one of Bill Hincher's Bellhousings to mate to 4g63 narrow block. He had to fabricate some mounts and plumbing to make it work. You could probably pm him to get more direct answers, but I encourage you to look though this site to find the answers you need.

Ramon, please spend some time reading and searching this forum before asking questions. Yes, we all want immediate answers, but you can learn a lot more by reading through some of the other posts and checking out other people's projects.

But a quick not on some of your questions. First, the 99 Mirage likely has a SOHC engine and not the DOHC version found in the EVO. If this is the case, you will need to beef up the bottom end considerably to reach your 500hp goal.

Determining your goals for the car (street, strip, road race, drift etc.) will help to decided what other components you will need. The Corolla didn't come with the strongest parts, and many areas will need extra strength to do any form of auto racing.

I think the GTS is a nice car and has tons of potential. The 4G63 would make a nice motor for just about any form of racing or even show scene. Gather some info from this site and others, then post any specific questions so that those with the experience can chime in and help us all out.

Its not as bad after you line up the motor and make the mounts, getting the drivetrain lined up is the key. i went through 3 mock up mounts before i decided on the best placement for it. Now its on there right, it would rip the oem rubber mounts before it even break the motor mount i made and last i made a jig for the entire setup.Let me know if i could be of some help.
