In racing as apposed to dyno testing you have gear ratio problems, lets say you have to exit a turn at a little less than optimal RPM and your engine ' falls off the pipe' everybody has done that, cant quite shift down, but cant keep it high gear either, turbo is dropped boost and the only thing making you go is torque. Now its all up to the intake manifold
All that stuff they are selling for intake manifolds are short runner /large plenum high RPM output stuff that only works over 6500 RPMs on a dyno
you want to make power from the lower end to the upper end of the RPM range, the intakes are only making power at the top of the range, so why wouldnt you invest in higher compression pistons with a smaller turbo? Its win/win, you boost your lower end, you spool the turbo quicker and you save a ton of money on intakes and larger turbos

The issue with building intakes and such for the 4G63, is that most people only drag race with them. I've seen very few road race type cars with 4G63s. An issue with the 4G63 and road racing is that the oil pan is not set up properly for high G cornering. Some people have lost engines due to oil starvation at high RPM while in a corner.
That being said, a new intake manifold may be what it takes to increase interest in racing the 4G63 on a road course. Also, the RWD options may build some interest as well. Once the interest is there, an oil pan will definitely be a must for serious racing as well.

Hey Bill, How about a dual throttlebody setup?
Kind of one for each pair of ports.
They would come out from head on a slight upward angle, then curving downward and facing down to get the torue up.
The pipes from the intercooler could look like the old pontiac exhaust tips that split to two, so that would feed both. Just facing up to meet them.
Just an idea..
