I'm trying to pay for a welder and bandsaw. I'm looking to make some parts and sell them. Who wants what? It'll be a month or 2 till I can actually send out something. Any interest?

I'm thinking about intake manifolds mostly. Wiring harness modifications... Maybe power steering hardlines, adapter plates, IC pipes. I dont really know what you guys would all want.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

Heys guys im new to the board, but some may know me from tristarion...i joined because i may be doing a swap, since i came up on this great deal...

What would you guys say i payed for a runnning (drove it back 4 hour drive..200 miles)91 egale talon turbo with 127k fairly clean need paint, Extra 4g63t motor and trans extra body parts, and various engine parts? o yeah, this car is not AWD, but it does have cam gears, 16g turbo(so he says)???????

3g's.......
nope.....
1,500......man that would be a good deal...lower!!!
1,000......
nope.....

how about ony $500 bucks ....bing go......
awesome deal.......now i don't know what to mod my starion or the talon....

the only bummer on the deal, is the extra engine is cracked right at the motor mounts...wonder how?

i'll try to get some pics......

To answer the question.... yeah trans plates would be cool.... and anything else that makes the swap hard....

I decided To keep the engine in talon........And maybe one day swap in my extra 4g63t i got with the deal....So for now im going to keep my starion the way it is(daily driver) and mod the talon, im going to shoot for 400hp, should be fun on a engine with 127k, i want to see how it will hold up!!! But i will do the swap one day, seeing as though i do have a extra 4g63t just laying around now:)(just need a block) Or i could just one of my engines on ebay for a grand!!!:) any way...Im going to keep my eye sharp on this site, so i can slowly gather everything i need to do the swap....so antthing to make the swap easier would be great for example motor mounts.......etc

yeah.. those plates are not needed at all. I was just aprehensive about banging in the firewall.. that feeling has passed.

So nobody wants intake manifolds? Top mount tubular manifolds? Hell.. I could probably do downpipes too. How about water outlets? Many ways to go on that one, it'd be fun to experiment.

I'm already offering wiring harness services for $100.

Isn't the flow better if you keep the turbo bottom mounted.....Unless you want to go with a huge turbo then you would need top mount...

I'm going to need a flipped manifold. Prob a down pipe to a cat with O2 bung as well (4G63 into a D50). Hell , right now I need everything.

I wish I could buy an adapter plate! So who's placing orders? Hehe. I gotta finish my #2 now and might as well do a few more while I'm at it.

So... if you dont move the engine forward 2 inches, just how far are we talkin about here, on banging the firewall in? Plus, I thought that'd but the intake into the brake booster? And no, I'm no where near test fitting all this ;). Winter sucks, and new home-ownership sucks ;).

You could probably put it in without moding the firewall, but it'd be way too close for comfort. If not.. oh well, pick up a hammer... its not much.

I'm going to experiment with removing the spacer from behind the brake booster to see just how far I can move everything back.

sounds like somebody has got a motor in an engine bay! I agree totally. Call Tilton or willwood and get that dealio going. It'd be hot. I'd do it if I wasnt poorer than I am crazy. and I'm pretty crazy. Not that its "expensive".... but that the costs outweigh the benefits. Plus you're only going to move the motor back so far until you're leg starts getting hot and you're front tires dont have enough weight on them to turn the car.

You could always take it off and make a spacer for the brake master cylinder thing.

I'm actually going to "attempt" to take the aluminum spacer out. Might need to modify some stuff, but we'll see. And as of now my brakes haveing worked right for 10 months.

The master cylinder is also an easy job to do. We put a Wilwood master in our Conquest, no power booster but the brakes work great, stop the car without the parachute from 158 mph.

I've never driven anything without power brakes.. only things with bad boosters and such. What a scare that was. How are non-power brakes when it comes to regular driving (not just mashing it to the floor)? Looks nice and clean:

It looks like WIL-250-3677. Is this correct? $31.95. I've put more than that into bandaids working around the stock booster!

Thanks for stopping by Dave. Feel free to post up anything you would like to promote. This site/forum is still fair game... until I get some sponsors for the drift car!

Thanks for posting that picture of our 4g63 Conquest. It does look good, if I say so myself.

Not sure what Wilwood part number that was. The brakes in the car are excellent and it has the stock rotors up front with Wilwoods on the rear.

Kevin hates packing the parachute on the car and at the end of the season last year would rarely pull it. The car stops great from 158 mph according to him.

The master is the only way to go putting the 4g63 in the car, makes it clean and frees up some room.

We are going to be adding the RWD parts to a special section on the website so you guys can see pictures of it all.
