Heads ? cause im burning braincells

okay... I am looking at picking up a truck block here real soon. Complete bottom. I plan on using the crank, getting turbo rods and weisco pistons. I was wondering the differences in the heads from turbo to N/A heads. I have seen a 2.0 dohc talon here local in the yard but it was non turbo. I am at this point not concerened about gen 1 or gen 2 turbo heads... should I be?

My goal is 450 hp in a starion. For now with a stock transmission until i get tired of it then the rx7 type until i strart racing..... then itsl be the 700r4 adaper plate ect.


So knowing my goal and my plans what head should, can i use? or is it much more complicated than it seems to me?

As far as I know the only difference in the 4G Turbo and N/a heads would be the cams.

The 1G head flows more than the 2G on the intake side. If you line them up you can tell the difference.

Ive heard that some people like the combo of a 2g head on a 1g 6 bolt bottom end tho.
