Honda Civic RWD 4G63 project
This is for Errol ( 77AMC) not from me its a neet project though

Thank you so very much Bill.. Almost forgot about it.. Got tons of stuff going on in addition, the dolly I made has two rear flats on it and it's rained so I can't move it anywhere that the rims don't dig into the mud. And got bursitis on my left foot and with the orthodics, my feet just plain hurt after a few hours.
Anyhow: I purchased a 90 talon awd from a friend and will be using the harness like you showed how to extract from the dash and anything more that I can.
The rear is going to be a shortened Dana 44 out of a old Wagoneer that I stripped about 10yrs ago. I thought about using a complete quest rear suspension but it looks like making a 4-link would be easier.
It's bare bones right now and will have t make most everything for it from pedal assembly to front suspension and don't mean to drag it out but telling you up front that this will be a long term project. (aren't they all) And don't have tons of money to just throw at it. I won't be able to purchase things until I sell a few cars. (Almost out of debt.. 6k left.. Woohoo)
I mean I have a factory Honda turbo motor that I've had for about 12 years and still havn't done much with it. (mainly beacuse I couldn't adapt the harness to my 78 civic) I may put it on Ebay with all the other cvcc Honda parts that I have and see what happens.. If I get what I want, I'll be able to devote alot to the suspension and at least get it rolling.
I also found a complete Colt GT turbo at a local yard and am trying to get the whole car instead of just pieces.
I'm used to working on Hondas and this 4g63/Quest stuff is a little cloudy
I do have two red quests 87/89 that I'll be making into one good one with a 406 sbc that should be around 430hp but will be using a 200r4 trans.
So, I gotta jet but will be posting some 'cuttem-up' pics in the next few weeks

Well, it looks like fate will change my plans for me..
I've been piling up parts for the civic swap but making a front suspension from scratch and dialing it in scares me. I wanted to start with a Miata front suspension since it's so nice and compact and a front sump.
BUT, my 'association' gave me an ultimatum on my 'projects' that can be seen from the street. YOU CAN BARELY SEE ANYTHING from the street.
Heck, my drive is about 300' long and I'm at about a 30% grade
Anyhow, I think the civic is going bye bye and I'll drop the 2.4 in my 77 Hornet. Even if I finished the Hornet out 'all amc' it would still only be around 5-7000.00 in really nice shape, and only paid 200.00delivered.
So DJ can delete this thread if so desired.
I'll get some pics together on the hornet later and at least I'll still be able to use all my piled up Mistu parts and taking the place of a 304 V8 I should have tons of room for most anything.

Is there any way around the "associations" ruling? Like maybe putting up a screen of some type to block those unsightly projects of yours from the street view. Just get some PVC pipe and a tarp and make something so they can't complain.
I know some of those neighborhoods can be stupid with the rules, but at least you don't have to drive by a bus being used as storage everyday on your way home. And right across the street there's a house with a pile of trash that's been sitting for 2 weeks. All of this is on a "major" road near where I live. I can't wait to move.

I know.. I know.. I just rented a post hole digger and poped about 9 holes behind my shop making an angle (32x32) but then 'after' re-thinking about it and talking to the person in charge (which went rather well I must say..)
I'm thinking of making a 8' screen about 40' long to block it all from these goofs.
But I'm still going to stop the civic work. I'll put it on Ebay or craigslist. HECK, the cage is worth at least 4-500.00 I would think. (not that's what I want from it though..) It would make a good starting point for the Grassroots challange!
In watching all the 'other' projects, I think I'll be ahead with the Hornet.
Front crossmember/suspension, pedal assy, cooling and most of all ROOM to work.
