I wanna buy few parts

Post by tommicrazy »

Hi, Iam new there, (not native english speaker) This web side was recomended for me.
I got Starion 2.0 widebody, car is in very good condition

I wish to do some upgrades but I got serious problem to find few parts on the ebay/www market

Where I can get some upgraded parts like:
clutch set
flywhell
I have got TDO5HR big16 (taken from evo8) and exhaust manifold from evo, i wish to fit that set into starion but I cannot find any adaprotrs

I have found clutch and flywcheels to 2.6 and some adaprot flandges to garrett turbos.

I have found yesterday turbo TDO5H big18 dedicated for starion manifold, did anyone know any opinions about it.

Sorry for newbie question, Starion isnt popular in Poland, no one know nothink about this car in our country.

many thanks

Try Top End Performance (I think it's www.racetep.com)
They specialize in the quest and starion. Here in the states

Ebay: try Ebay motors then type in (starion, conquest) in the search..
Just DON"T buy anything for about 2-3 weeks to get the feel of what people spend and what doesn't sell.. JUST LOOK, DON"T TOUCH.. And above all check the feed-back of the seller.

Another website is www.starquest.com Again, just look around and get a feel for who's a "duppa-yashoo"(??) or who's a good person to ask questions to.
And check out the 'links' on the sites you do find and keep them in your favorites.

Welcome to the site. There are lots of good, patient people here.

My Grandfather was in a group back when called the Highlanders or something like that back in Poland.. Even has his climbing axe too.

Hope you find what you need.. Errol

It's a 4G63 SOHC car correct? if thats the case you need nothing from any 2.6 liter site for your motor, you need DSM stuff.

yes it is 2.0, the car was build with 2,6 first , but prewious owner done the engine swap, so only one think i neet to know, is should I get for my starion the same stuff like for 6 bolt eclipse/galant engine?
I belive that evo 1,2,3 is 7 bolt ? and gonna be diffrent?
Iam going to order pistons 85,5 and gasket for 6bolt engine , but I need to know is clutch and flywhell gona fits too?

Evo 1-3 are 6 bolt motors with the red valve cover i believe.

I'm not sure on your clutch as to what the car is using, as in the smaller AWD flywheel or the larger FWD... you'll have to research that.

The 6 bolts with the red "mitsubishi" valve covers were from Japanese Galants I'm pretty sure.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

its a 6 bolt fwd flywheel and it should fit
If I understand right ,
so then should I look for flywhell dedicated for eclipse 1g GS-T (they was FWD turbo and 6 bolt)

And one more think makes me wonder, why I never seen starions in drift competitions? seen loads od old rx7, toyotas or even bmw..... I newer seen starion, is it not good weight balance for drifting or what?
