This brings up a good point. Bill what's in the pipeline for Evo bolt pattern bellhousings?
Its getting a little late for me to do that site for you, but I can when I get back.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

aztattoojoe,
I'm a newbie on this forum just like you. In fact I know very little about doing a swap but it's something I want to do. Many of the questions you seek have already been answered on this forum in a variety of places.
In reading alot of the threads here I find that people don't like repeating themselves over and over again. They've themselves learned from research, trial and error, and experience.
I'd suggest spending the time to go through the forum and do your research. And spend the time to complete your user profile.
From what I've read... your stock box will not work, unless you had custom bellhousing made.

That may change if we could start some discussions about it. Ive certainly flirted with the idea of a 2.1L "Evo" engine in my next car. That decision still has yet to be made. Once you're caught up with the other bellhousings, would you consider it?

your remeber where the Starquest meeting was last year, they are having a 4 day rock concert there this 4th of July, over 70 bands, including modest mouse and Dave Walker, Snoop Dawg called, he's gonna make it too, come on up, we will 'do' the rock concert and then knock out a bellhousing that weekend

That's quite an awesome itineary Mike !
I'm a little hurt that you're skipping my home country of Denmark, though.
As for the Canary Islands - Tenerife is like Waikiki in Hawaii, but the nightlife is great. If you're going to Tenerife, rent yourself a Peugoet 206 (or similar) and drive around the island. The trip is easily doable in a day, and offers some great driving on paved narrow mountain roads that cross the island. Make sure you don't get stuck with an automatic, though.
I wish I would have incorporated visits to some of the other islands hwen I went.
Have an awesome trip and to be in Rome for U2 and Madonna for your 26th birthday is a nice touch !
