ISC delete ?

Post by quest4power »

has anyone had a problem just removing the ISC and using a plate to block it off? then just setting the idle using the BISS?

I did it and its fine. I can handle a 1000rpm idle. So many of the ICS motors are bad anyways and tend to idle surge.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

I blocked mine off as well. The only complaint I can come up with would be having to give it some gas to keep it idling until it starts to warm up, which isn't a big deal to me.

Kinda, it just doesn't want to idle very good when it is cold. I haven't had the truck started with it warm outside, so I cannot tell you how mine does in the summer.
