wiring help

Post by quest4power »

like the title says. lol. here's the rundown.

i've got the engine bay all wired up and just turned my attention to the chassis side of things. i read all the info in the faq and browsed this forum. now i know what wires do what on both harness'. i'm just unsure of where to connect 4g chassis wires to the b-38.

thanks in advance for replies

You need to bundle up all the plugs from the 4G63 ENGINE harness that plugged into the DSM chassis, and solder them to the corresponding B38 pigtail that you cut from the G54B ENGINE harness. You don't need to do anything to the chassis harness to get the engine to run.

This lets you plug the 4G63 engine harness into the StarQuest chassis harness via B38.

Once you do this, there are a few other small wires for the dash, that don't go though B38.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
