Speeding???

Post by jeffball610 »

Yesterday evening on our way to Pueblo (Colorado), my girlfriend got pulled over for speeding. 80mph in a 65mph zone. The messed up part is that the Sheriff's deputy was not anywhere to be seen before she got pulled over. He was not visible. My girlfriend speeds everywhere and has no speeding tickets in 13 years. She's actually really good at scanning for cops while driving. That's not the interesting part though. The Deputy pulled us over in Pueblo County, he was a Fremont County Deputy. He miss wrote the ticket saying we were at mile marker 195 and were less than a 1/4 mile from mile marker 197. 2 miles doesn't seem like a lot, except that the county line is at about mile marker 196 1/2. Clearly we were not in his county. The location is very distinct and he could not possibly know he was not within his own county. Does he have the authority and jurisdiction to pull us over outside of his county? One of the two tickets I've ever received, the officer would not follow me out of city limits to escort me home less then a mile from the infraction.

I got a ticket for excessive noise the other day, in my truck! I figure its just another tax I gotta pay for living the ' free' life
I got sued two years ago and found out about the court system

If you are white and their witnesses are black , you are fucked
If you are a man and the other person is a woman you are fucked
If you are a white man and they are a black woman you are REALLY fucked
But if you are a black male youth, you should have coffee cup at the jail with your name on it

all politicians start out life as a lawyer , the court room is a political circus

my dads a county and asked him. they can go into any county and issue a citation or an arrest warrant. The milage markers ect.. Different story. According to my father different counties have different fines associated with crimes or infractions. So if one county is cheaper he either hooked you up or ..... Because he did not have to ly abput the mile marker stopped..
