1994 Mitsubishi Mighty Max RWD (4g63t)

Post by MasterJacobs »

Will the 4g63T bolt up to my existing 2.4L motor mounts?

Will the manual tranny on the 4g63T work on my chassis if I have a 5 inch lift?

Where do I mount the 4g63t tranny?

the 63t will bolt up using the 2.4 mounts, but the cas and thermostat housing will hit the firewall this way. What trans are you referring to?

The mighty max/d50 w/g63b and a manual trans will bolt up to the narrowblock 4g63t. A cas is a Cam Angle Sensor, it is located on the passenger side of the intake cam(if you are looking at an engine in a dsm).

You will have to do that in addition to either modifying the firewall, moving the engine foward, or run a cas relocation kit(which is still being designed/made by Bill). You will also have to do something with the t-stat housing.

On my first swap, I moved the engine foward 2.9" to clear the firewall, which involved modifying engine mounts and trans cross-member, and having the driveshaft lengthened 2.9". I could have gotten by with 2.25" or so.

5" Lift?? Sounds like you have a 4wd. If this is the case, you can't bolt just any 4G63 up to your trans, it will have to be a wide block for your trans.
