4g63 s14 240sx swap
Has anyone done this swap? I searched but found little. Need to know the issues involved. Im pretty sure the s13 240 would be the same as well. Thanks Brian

Its been done. What's the hold up? If you want to do it just start and see for yourself. Its not like you're trying to put a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 in it.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

no hold ups, just need to know any cons involved because time is money, and I currently own many on going projects including Grassroots Motorsports Challenge Colt that was sideswiped by a semi, a allmotor drag Civic that needs fixed, jetski needs worked on, my SCCA roadrace Integra needs worked on, AWd Mirage needs finished, blah blah.. Still slightlythinking about going LS1 with the 240 but like time, LS1s are money too! So any knowledge of this swap will be a tremendous help. Just living in Cleveland gives the 4g an advantage

JP I still havent seen the 7 since you were working on the sunroof
Definitely need to see asap now that it shifts.
Its gonna be jackstand city over at the shop, with the Mirage being priority+ I hear the GRM challenge 09 might be on the west coast, plenty of time for test n tune
The 240 is gonna be fun, If only I could get it to Colt weight. It definitely needs a cage, it really seems like a flimsy chassis with potential, might need it for when we finally show up at Maxton airport

Matt's KA-T was pretty wild and wasn't any more work than a similarly powered 4G6x. The biggest problem is the same problem we have and that's the KA's transmission, but I'm pretty sure there are 300ZX swap kits these days. After you fix that, there are the half shafts. Matt was going through a half a dozen per event at one point before he upgraded.

Really just dont want to spend more money on the Nissan stuff. The ka trans is garbage past 200hp. Yes I believe there is a 300zxtt trans adapter. I believe the Nissan stuff would end up costing much more. Junkyard 4g63s are cheap/powerful. The Toyota r154 trans is cheap and perfect for the job. Bill is located about 1.5 hrs away.
The Nissan is a Salvage title car, so I am attempting to build a Japanese ratrod with this fine mix of parts. I decided the 240 chassis is not worthy of an LS1/6spd and of course is waaay overbudget.

I am about to begin similar project for the simple fact that I miss rwd and found a 97 240 for less than 5000. Of course the engine has almost 200k miles on it so it will need something soon and since I have way too many engine blocks from my DSM days I figured why not go the 4g route. So I beg you to keep this thread updated to let me know what I am going to be facing.
I plan on beginning the the build in 5 months because I have to work my budget out to do this. BTW, I can not find a price for one of bills adaptors so any help in this matter would be appreciated.
