92 d50 2.4 wide or narrow?

Post by quest96 »

Hey guys I was considering adapting a narrow block with a starion trans but I found a 4g64 in a 92 d50. I'm not sure if there was a narrow and wide in 92. Is there a difference between auto and stick or 4x4 and 4x2? It is at a junkyard and is still in the truck so I can't measure it. Is there any way to tell the difference without measuring? Thanks...

Thanks I think i'm gonna pick up this block for my swap in my starion now that I know it is a wide. I already have a first gen dohc turbo head. Thanks for the info...

Do you still have the G54b.. I could use a short block or bottom end parts. and as far as it being a 6 or 7 bolt I pulled a 92 and it was a 7 bold but I'm not sure of the vin.

yes it's complete running engine still in my quest till I get my 4g63/4. I also have a modified carivan intake for mpi settup and a stock 52mm throttlebody and intake from rc enginering.
