Rough week. Entertain me.

Post by DJpowerHaus »

I've had a rough week. On monday my dog was killed by a UPS truck on my driveway. My family has been very upset all week. I'm just starting to get sleep again.

So I've been trying to distract myself. I bought a copy of Racecar Engineering Magazine last week. It had a nice article on Formula 3 cars. They're pretty neat. Trying to learn more about their engines. I could care less about open wheel cars, but a 2.0L 4cylinder N/A production head/block engine is pretty cool to me. The engines are pretty nuts for what they make in power. They are restricted by a 26mm restricter, in revs (I think) and in displacement (2.0L) and must use a stock block and head with no material added, but some can be removed. They usually make power in the mid 200hp range and can cost $80,000!

Trying to get a little info on Super2000 or other series with "real" race motors based on stock 4 cylinder blocks and heads. Toda has some neat photos. Trying to find more. Entertain me.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

in the mid to late 90s Mitsubishi and HKS teamed up to build an F3 car. I actually saw the F3 engine at SEMA in 2005, but didn't think anything of it. Must not have taken any pictures either. Now I can't find any photos of their F1 engine.

Last week my sister's boyfriend asked if we wanted to go see I Am Legend this week. So we agreed and today we went. Little did we know it was a story about a guy all alone with only his dog as his best friend. They listen to reggae music which is so sad because that's what my mom always played for my dog when she had to leave him alone. Spoiler: then halfway through his dog dies and he goes a little crazy and say "I miss my friend". :-(

Kia was my best buddy , big son of a bitch, he went about a buck and quarter, he was part german shepard and part wolf, I aint kiddin, he could stand on his hind legs and put his paws on my shoulders and look me in the face.
He was my buddy for 15 years and then i had to decide when it was time for him to go, that was a complete bitch, takin him down to the vet for the last time, but cha'no? he never worried about a meal in his life, never had to look for a place to sleep, always was cared for, had the back yard to himself and didnt have no job.
I had to out live him, because he couldnt have such a geat life without me
