narrowblock with w58 ?s

Post by hankhawk »

just wondering how the the driveline would work with a narrow block 4g63t and a w58 tranny. what drive shaft is used? what clutch disk and pressure plates to use? the parts and fab work for this setup.

I know I get confusing at times because the product is under constant development but all the need parts for the clutch are a combination of stock Mits and Toyota parts

I need to take some new pic's to clear this up but on the W-55 series bellhousing I am now using the Toyota throw out bearing and collar, the Toyota clutch fork and pivot ball

the dics I used is a stock 9 inch Toyota disc from a Celica or a pick up truck
I also used a stock FWD clutch pressure plate from the Mits

I used a stock FWD Mits flywheel and opened the center hole up to 29 mm

Then I finished it out with a stock Toyota celica slave cylinder and pilot bearing
I bought a clutch kit that included the pilot bearing, throwout bearing and clutch disc for a 1/2ton Toyota pick up for $115.00, the slave cylinder cost me $15.00 at Napa. The only thing I bought from the dealer was the pressure plate from Mits

I will take some updated pics and go to the parts store to get some part numbers as soon as I can and update you on the R-154 parts needed.
I do have a video I put together that explains everything for intrested buyers
