Hey guys. Did a quick look threw this forum to see if anyone posted what Im about to post but didnt find it so I figured I may as well go for it.
Today at work we had a 2000 Hyndai Tiberon come into the shop. It has the Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.0 4G63 DOHC engine in it. Nothing too special there but the intake on the car would be perfect for anyone dropping one of these engines into a quest. If the engine was turned the way it would be needed for a ruck or quest, it would be facing front. No mods needed to get it on from what I can tell.
Like I said, not sure if this has been posted before or if it has been forgoten. So heres the info for anyone who needs it. may not be a bad Idea to have a running list of parts needed for this swap and cars to get the pats from or even beter would be part numbers with them.

i will see if i can get pictures of the cars engine. we are done working on the car so its going to be a bit hard to get a good look under its hood. I work at a car stereo shop and we did a full system in the car which is why we had it for a few days. But since we are done with it its going to be hard to get under its hood.
just did a quick search on that engine. I was able to find out its intake manifold gasket (thanks rock auto) and found that it looks like hyundai did make some changes to that head. heres a link to a list of cars with that engine.

not sure if it helps any.
here are a few picts from cardomain. not the exact car but same engine.

that engine is called a Beta. They came in 2 flavours: 1.8, and 2.0 (and 1.6L in Europe) I helped a few buddies swap these into X3 accents (1995-1999) and I've seen them in LC accents (2000-2004) It is unique to Hyundai, and posesses no interchangeable parts between any mitsubishi engines. The first application was 1993 Scoupe Turbo, still using a distributor. This engine was called Alpha, and was 1.5L SOHC 12v. There have since been 1.6L DOHC (my buddy has one in his 1996 accent GT, pulls REAL good for what it is) and 1.6L SOHC engines offered in Alpha. The Beta is larger, and the Delta is a 2.7L V6 (a real shitty motor, any tuning beyond 250 HP results in block explosion).
They're decent engines, and they are ridiculously cheap. A 2002 DOHC 16V BetaII making 143 Hp and 138 ft lbs can be had for... $250! My buddies bought their Betas (for accent swapping) for $400 and $450 each. If this block could bolt up to a narrow 4G series, i'd be the first to carburate it and place it in a Pony.
Maybe even turbo it.
