Pretty positive that it is completely different than the 4G engines. If you spot any Mitsu with a V6, then you should have a 6G motor. The Montero, Diamante, 3000GT etc all came with the 6G. You might also check out some Eagle cars like the Vision. Not sure if those motors were Mitsu or Chrysler, but the layout is like a RWD car. You might see if the Montero has a separate bellhousing you might be able to steal. I'm headed to the yard on Tuesday for some parts. I'm sure I'll spot some of those vehicles and I can measure and make some observations on possibilities. I know of one RWD 6G swapped car.
there was aguy in here who was selling a project he had started and was using a v6 vr4 motor and was plannging on running a d50 trans behind it
car was up for sale box and motor not in etc so not sure if it actually worked but thats wat he was planning on doing so maybe narrow block but thats a guess as it was only going by what he was planning on doing

I think a 6G7 bellhousing would be an awesome idea. What transmission would you put behind it? That swap that sold nearly complete a few months ago was using a Starion Auto transmission with I'm guessing a V6 pickup or montero bellhousing.
What kind of power do 3000GT guys make with them? Shouldn't they be making Skyline / Supra / Grand National power?
I'd like to hear if Bill would be interested. I'm also curious what transmission would be sufficient.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

the mighty max and d-50s came with that motor in a 4x4 version, that my next project TT v6 mighty...take about 550+hp spinning all 4.....
and i have not confirmed nor looked...into it much, but you wouldnt be far off with the differences in transfer cases with the 4x4 truck motor/trans to the trans you would find in a VR4...
I guess i am kinda looking for a little help with this as well....knowledge is power
Then the next thing would be swapping or fabbing custom axles??

Pretty sure the VR4 used the smaller 6A V6, not the larger 6G V6 from the GTO/Pajero. VR4 1992-95 6A12T 2.0 turbo, 1996+ 6A13T 2.5 turbo.
This may share the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the 4G engines (not sure if wide or narrow block), but I haven't heard anyone who's actually done it yet.
iirc Mitsubishi Australia used the 6G in a transverse AWD setup in the V3000/Diamante.
I'd be surprised if the "big" V6 would be able to use the 4 cylinder bolt-pattern.
