There is a suggestion to open up a new section at starquestclub for the owners of other G54B powered vehicles including the mighty max, montero, and other platforms. Please show your support to create a large outlet for those underrecognized and undersupported vehicles at the Starquestclub forums.
You must realize that the 4g63 is only half the focus here. We focus on 4g63 swaps, into other vehicles, which are mostly G54B POWERED. No offense, but this site can't compare with the amount of users at another site such as SQC. Much of the information we know here is due the draw of other sites. If you also haven't realized, we lack A LOT important of information here that just isn't freely available. It is to our benefit that we can attain that information without having to invest our own money experimenting. This thread very much pertains to this board.
I don't think you are understanding the idea here, and I don't think you want to, so your point is MOOT. You may think this site is the solution, but the reality here has been that simple questions such as "will x engine fit y transmission?" are just unanswered. That means people have to dig into their own pockets and spend money just to find out what could have been free if there were a larger specific community. What you propose as centralized is impossible without a community, which you refuse to recognize.
Look, no one is forcing anyone here to do anything, and you are here on your own free will whether you realize it or not. What I have offered is an outlet for those people interested in improving our community by expanding our available information, not replacing or demeaning this site. The end goals are independent and wholey seperate, however, the information waiting to be uncovered is dually useful to both causes.
You say you frequent the DSM community for their information, yet you refuse to recognize them as a part of our community as well. Without thier existance, where would you be, and where would this site be? Certainly not where we are now. That is simply selfish. To analyze a good example of a community, the DSMs also consist of Galants, 3000GTs, Starions, Mitsubishi and Chrysler enthusiests, and simple individuals with something in common that benefits the larger whole.
So looking at the mission statement,
"The goal of Project 0G is not to build a single 4G63 powered Starion, but to form a community to focus the minds of individuals aiming to build other Rear Wheel Drive 4G63 turbo vehicles.
This site has allot of info on Starion/Conquest 4G63 swaps as well as some MightyMax/D50 turbo conversions . Most of this info can be used for other applications as well.
A large portion of the discussion revolves around the ideal transmission setup for certain, usually high power, applications. We have a message board and various pages on details of the swap. Read everything and join the discussion."
there is nothing wrong with supporting another site, and vice a versa, if they are in our community.

OMG.. drama. Haha. Support other swaps... just not so much on here, right? This is for RWD 4G63s. I'm totally in support of people doing other stuff elseware. I'm sure we could benefit from it too. Just dont think we're going to start a section talking about putting 2.6s into stuff that it doesnt belong in. SQC can have it and I'll probalby go there every day.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
