89 carbed might max ecu and harness removal

Post by 89coltgt »

Can I remove the ecu and harness without interfering with the chassis and charging system wiring?

Anybody have any ideas?

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

I have been told that the ecu wiring is not physically connected to any other system on the truck, but it is loomed in together in places, simply needs to be unloomed. This should save me a little time during the swap :)

I just removed tha harness, doesn;t seem to have been hooked into the charging system at all, still need to hook up the battery and check all chassis wiring.
